The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

I’m not too up on my anime these days, not as much as I used to anyway, but I lately discovered this film through the blog Two Brothers and a Sister. In my opinion, I found this to be a very sweet and entertaining story. High school romances and dramas are certainly something of a cliche in anime, but The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is actually a moderately straightforward morality tale about power and responsibility set within what I consider to be a very believable romantic comedy.
Perhaps my favorite thing about this film was how well treated the characters were. I loved each character in the film, major and minor, and really cared about and sought to learn more about their complicated relationships in the 98 minutes I was given. Along with the great artistic symbolism taken in some of the film’s boarding, and some of the best acting (animated) I’ve seen in an anime, there’s no reason you shouldn’t see The Girl Who Leapt Through Time!
